Prime Time Booking Charters

Wed Jul 23 2008, 09:45AM

This weekend is open
PRIME TIME" is a superb, top quality 50' sportfisher, operated by a veteran professional sportfishing captain.  This fine yacht is ideal for discrete groups of six or less, fishing the offshore waters of San Diego.  Trips vary from half day local kelp fishing trips, targeting such species as Bonita, Barracuda, Calico Bass, Sand Bass, White Sea bass, Yellowtail and Halibut, to fishing one or one and a half days at the Coronado Islands. The Coronado trips offer a more exotic locale with a more bountiful and varied catch. Summer fishing is primarily offshore, ranging from 45-80 miles, predominantly into Mexican waters.  Targeted species would include Albacore Tuna and Bluefin Tuna in the early summer; Yellowfin Tuna, Big Eye Tuna and occasionally Dorado in the late summer.  Large Yellowtail are also targeted on offshore kelp paddies. Late summer and fall will bring Striped Marlin into the local San Diego waters. We are also available for charter, for any fishing tournaments, even into Cabo San Lucas.

Point Loma Sportfishing - The AA Report

Wed Jul 23 2008, 09:05AM

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

We are running up the line right now after a fun day of Yellowtail fishing in the calm of the Island. Sometimes when you're fishing for Yellows with your Longrod - and you cast at just the right time - the results are like Michael Changs in today's photo of the day.

It sounds like slow fishing on the offshore scene but so did it 5 days ago when we had great fishing, maybe tomorrow will be our
day!!!.

Royal Polaris Paddy's Turn On

Wed Jul 23 2008, 08:58AM

Hello everyone;

Our weather continues to be wonderful, with clear skies, flat seas, and warm days.

We had an excellent day of fishing. Our day was spent offshore looking for kelps, and boy did it pay off. We had limit style fishing on Yellowtail. The Yellowtail were in the 12 to 18 pound catogory, with many going 22 to 25 pound range, and few over 30 pounds. We caught fish on Sardines and Iron today. With the water temperature moving up, the Dorado are making a strong showing also.

By late afternoon, we started heading south. Our next destination is Cedros Island. We should arrive to the island around 08:00 hours. With good reports from the island, we hope to top off our Yellowtail catch, and may be get a few White Sea Bass or Halibut. So with that note, we will close for now, and we will keep you posted on our daily reports. The R/p crew.
