Heading to the Hall Shows? We Have Some Important News!
It's that time again - about 10 days to the start of the Fred Hall Fishing Tackle & Boat Shows. We have some important announcements and reminders for our members and all fishermen.
Please, don't forget to bring in your used rods and reels.
Last year, we launched a rod and reel donation program designed to help our fundraising efforts as well as our youth fishing activities. It was a great success, and we want to make this program even bigger and better for 2010. Here's how it works: Bring your used fishing rods and/or reels (in working order) to the UASC booth outside the Long Beach (March 3-7, 2010) or San Diego (March 24-28) Fred Hall Shows. For each rod and/or reel donated, anglers will receive a special raffle ticket for a $1,000 fishing tackle shopping spree. For example, three rods and four reels donated will get you seven tickets for the raffle. This raffle is only for those who donate used tackle or sign up for special Advanced Memberships with UASC at the shows. No additional raffle tickets will be sold to general show attendees.
Sign Up for UASC and get into the Fred Hall for FREE plus more!
Once again, Fred Hall & Associates has teamed up with United Anglers of Southern California and offers one adult entry ticket into the Fred Hall Show when you sign-up to be a member of UASC. Also, included with your entry is $50 in coupons to use inside, and more. Special advanced and family memberships are available that sweeten the deal even more. You'll be able to speed through the process at the show using our new self-service registration stations. You'll save time, money and whisk your way into the show.
Consider volunteering to help UASC in Long Beach or San Diego.
Why? I'll give you a couple of good reasons. For one, it's a great way to showcase your giving spirit and your support for recreational fishing. This is the most important membership event of the year for us, and quite frankly, we can use all the help we can get. It's also a great way to share camaraderie and swap fishing stories (a.k.a. lies) with fellow anglers. Volunteering with UASC at these shows is the perfect project for fishing clubs - it's a great way to get together with one another while giving back to the sport. Oh, and did I forget to mention that the volunteer who puts in the most hours will get a free overnight fishing trip on the Eldorado?
Please call our office at (562) 494-9900 to schedule a time to volunteer, or with any questions you may have about the tackle donation program or new member sign up/renewal system through our website.
